Chondrus Crispus also known as Irish moss is a sea vegetable that grows in the intertidal zone on both sides of the North Atlantic. It is short and bushy, and often found in thick carpets on rocky shores. Our fresh Chondrus Crispus buds are harvested in the North Atlantic off the rich shores of Ireland.

Unlike the other sea mosses this Irish moss does very well when yielding its gel through boiling. A little goes along way! The flakes increase surface area, allowing the nutrients of the moss to effortlessly permeate into the hot water.

Rinse one 1oz of Irish moss in cold water. After rinsing place in bowl and allow distilled water to cover Irish moss by 2 inches. Soak in distilled water for 30 minutes to an Hour. Drain the water add to a blender, meet 3/4 the volume with boiling hot water, or fill to the limit of 32floz with boiling hot water, blend until smooth and keep refrigerated in a glass container or jar. Take 3 tbsp as needed to boil and prepare like a Tea, also can be added to Soups, Smoothies, Milk shakes, Juices even Baking and Cooking

Alternative method…

Rinse 14 grams of Irish moss in cold water. After rinsing place in bowl and allow distilled water to cover Irish moss by 2 inches. Soak in distilled water for 30 minutes. Drain the water add to large pot with 1-gallon distilled water. Bring to boil for about 20-30 minutes, be very careful while boiling because the water volume will expand and could boil over. Allow to cool. Transfer the now structured fluid through a strainer into glass containers, two large 64 fluid ounce glass Mason jars should be perfect, you will yield a gallon of drinkable gel. Refrigerate in glass containers and drink first thing in the morning, as needed before meals (which has a variety of other benefits) or blended with fruit like bananas or strawberries (for taste). According to research this is the most optimal and potent way to consume all of the benefits of the Irish moss and super botanical algae because it has been desaturated down to the dosage that can permeate into the intracellular body and promote deeper levels of healing.
